Amit Nath

Mr Amit Nath graduated in Civil Engineering in 1985 and post graduated with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering in 1988 from Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur, Howrah, under Calcutta University, India. After graduation, he worked as a structural design engineer at an architectural farm for some time. Since 1988, he has been working as a Research Officer in River Research Institute, Government of West Bengal, India. He is experienced in soil exploration in connection with construction of several irrigation/hydraulic structures. He has studied different cases of riverbank failures in the state of West Bengal. He is also involved in some basic research works in soil mechanics and has published several papers on this subject.

S. S. DeDalal

Mr S. S. DeDalal obtained his degree of Bachelor of Civil Engineering in 1983 and the Master of Civil Engineering in 1985 from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He worked as a site engineer at a construction site for some time. Since 1988 he has been working as a Research Officer in River Research Institute, Government of West Bengal, India. He is experienced in soil exploration in connection with construction of several irrigation/hydraulic structures. He has studied different cases of riverbank failures in the state of West Bengal. He is involved in some basic research works in soil mechanics and water resources engineering and has published several papers on these subjects.
He is a life member of Indian Geotechnical Society and Indian Association of Hydrologists.
