Dr Hussain Abdullah Alawaji
Dr. Hussain Abdullah Alawaji's degrees are B.Sc. 1982, King Saud University; M.Sc. in Civil engineering (Geotechnical) 1986, University of Colorado at Boulder, USA; and Ph.D. in Civil engineering (Geotechnical) 1990, University of Colorado at Boulder, USA. He is currently (2004) an Associate Professor at King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Editor's note Dr Alawaji was promoted to full Professor title in May 2005.
Dr Alawaji's areas of research interest are Geotechnical Engineering; Soil and Rock Characterization; In-situ Testing, Design and Analysis of Buried Pipelines and Storage Tanks, Site investigations, Industrial and Hazardous Waste Barriers, Project Management, and Computational Mechanics.
Dr Alawaji has published extensively in these areas. He has also been awarded many honors for his professional accomplishments.
