Dr. Pathegama Gamage Ranjith is a lecturer at Department of Civil Engineering, Monash University, Australia. Before joining to Monash, he worked as an assistant professor in Rock Mechanics at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His areas of research include modelling of multiphase flow through rocks, rock physics, rock fracture mechanism, gas outbursts in mines, rock and soil dynamics, tunnelling in soft and hard ground. He has published number of technical papers and is the author of the book on Hydromechanical Aspects and Unsaturated Flow in Jointed Rock. His areas of teaching interests include rock mechanics and rock engineering, soil mechanics and modelling and computing.
