Pradip Kumar Pradhan is a Senior Lecturer, University College of Engineering, Burla, India. Presently he is deputed (under Quality Improvement Programme of Govt. of India) to the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, where he is continuing his research as a Research Scholar in the area, dynamic analysis of foundation soil system including machine foundations. His degrees are M.Sc. Engg. (Civil) with specialization in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India, 1989 and B.Sc. Engg. (Civil), University College of Engineering, Burla, Sambalpur University, 1986. He has supervised 11 ME. dissertations. He has nine publications in various National and International Journals/Conference proceedings.

Dr. Deba Prasad Ghosh graduated in Civil Engineering from Indian Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 1967. He obtained his M. Tech. and Ph.D. degrees from the same institute in 1969 and 1982 respectively. He did his Post Doctoral work at Technical University of Nova Scotia, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada during 1987-1988 in association with Prof. G. G. Meyerhof. He joined as a Faculty of I.I.T. Kharagpur in 1970 and is Professor of Civil Engineering since 1996. He has guided 5 Ph.D., 21 M.Tech. dissertations and a large number of projects of B.Tech. students. He has published 33 technical papers in National/International Journals and Conference proceedings. He has also received awards from the Indian Geotechnical Society for his publications.
