Dr Fall received his graduate degrees in DEA (Master level) in Civil Engineering ENSG/ENSMIN (Nancy-France), and PhD in Civil Engineering at the National Polytechnic Institute de Lorraine (INPL-ENSG, France). He was also certified in Remote Sensing et GIS - University of Stockholm/Department of Geography. He is currently an Associate-Professor in Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar.

Dr Fall is active as a Consultant in Geotechnical Engineering, as well as in professional organizations. Currently he is a Member and Senegal National Group Secretary of the International Association of Engineering Geology (IAEG). He has published extensively (both in English and French)both in print publicatons as well as conferences.
