Abstract
A systematic testing program has been executed to determine various pore-related parameters. Some fifty specimens of almost pure Jordanian limestone has been used for this study. Tests have been performed by employing the immersion technique, with and without the use of a vacuum pump. An analysis of the results allows most pore-related parameters to be estimated with a fair degree of accuracy from these results. It is believed that the results of this work can be quite useful in similar pure limestones elsewhere, in the field and as well as in laboratories where sophisticated equipment is unavailable.
